I am Igor. I am a personal assistant in Moscow. I help tourists from Europe, the USA, and other countries get a Russian SIM card and open a Russian bank account in 2–3 hours. No Russian needed.
Below are answers to the most common questions.
Can a foreigner get a SIM card in Russia?
Yes. However, since 2025, foreign tourists cannot simply buy a SIM card at any mobile shop. You need a SNILS number (Russian tax registration) and a Gosuslugi account (government portal) first. Most mobile operators require these documents.
Can a foreigner open a bank account in Russia?
Yes. Russian banks allow non-residents to open accounts and get a debit card (MIR system). You will need your passport, a notarized translation, and SNILS. Some banks also require biometric verification (photo and voice).
What documents do I need to get a SIM card and bank card in Moscow?
- Passport (original)
- Notarized Russian translation of your passport
- SNILS number
- Gosuslugi account
- Bank biometrics (done at the branch)
I prepare the notarized translation for you in advance.
How long does it take to get a SIM card and bank card in Moscow?
If you do it alone — several days. You will need to visit MFC (government center), wait in queues, and translate documents.
With my assistance: 2–3 hours. I pick you up from your hotel. We visit MFC, a mobile shop, and a bank. I handle all paperwork and translation. You return to your hotel with a working SIM card and debit card.
How much does it cost?

This includes:
- Hotel pickup and drop-off

Not included: mobile operator tariff (from 5 EUR) and metro fare (about 1–2 EUR).
Do I need to speak Russian?
No. I speak English and Italian. I translate everything for you.
Is it safe to open a bank account in Russia as a foreigner?
Yes. All banks and MFC offices we visit are official. The account is opened in your name. You receive a standard Russian debit card (MIR) that works in shops, restaurants, and the metro.
